THREE PEAKS SPONSORED WALK

Bosom Friends member Mr.John Storey, is planning to do a three peaks (Ingleborough, Pennt-ghent, Whernside) sponsored walk for our cancer support group funds.

John is presently going through cancer treatment himself, and his wonderful positive attitude, is an inspiration to all who know him.

John plans to do the walk around the week-end of June 20th. 2010, this is the week that John celebrates his birthday. Our group invites anyone who may wish to do the sponsored walk, or part of it, with John. If you do wish to take part please contact Mary Brennan on 01282 814917. and Mary will forward the appropriate registration and sposorship forms to you.

The three peaks area covers some of the most stunning scenery in the Yorkshire dales, and at June can be seen in all its glory. As stated if you do not feel you can cover the three peaks, or the distance involved, you can do part of the walk, either just one or two of the peaks is more than adequate. We would also like volunteers to help marshall this event, and assist our backup crew.

Our backup will be in the form of getting those with no transport to and from the event, setting up check points, and refreshment and food stations.

We look to hearing from you, and any help you may offer, or indeed any sponsorship you can give to our walkers, this will be a great day out for all concerned DO NOT MISS THIS CHANCE.

Do not forget Bosom friends Ballon day on the Sunday 20th of December, in rememberance of loved ones no longer with us. The event starts at 12.00. noon in the frank street pensioners centre, where you can buy your balloons and have refreshments, until the balloon release at 2pm.
